Get a Real Job is a comedy series that follows two broke, burnt-out canvassers navigating the absurd world of nonprofit fundraising in New York City. Armed with clipboards, questionable scripts, and a shaky sense of purpose, they try to save the world one awkward sidewalk interaction at a time, while barely holding their own lives together. As they hustle through the emotional highs and crushing lows of asking strangers for money, the series dives into themes of survival, identity, and the messy gray area between passion and paycheck. It’s a chaotic love letter to the weirdest job you’ve ever quit.

Samantha Lochs is a comic and Film Editor residing in Brooklyn, N.Y. She’s been fully immersed in NYC’s Improv and stand-up communities since 2017. She encapsulates the balance between taking her comedy goals seriously and maintaining a fresh, lighthearted, and silly energy. Sam prides themselves on being a multidisciplinary artist, performer, and filmmaker with a strong passion for TV and comedy. She thrives on crafting hilarious and captivating stories with a deeply relatable core.
