When given the space…
Filmmaking goes beyond what is perceived—it combines the imaginations of storytellers and viewers. At its core? The feeling we leave with when the screen fades to darkness.
We preserve the essence of film and the experience that matters to both artists and admirers. We cater to audiences who don’t just watch but feel and who see themselves in the stories told and walk away changed. Filmmaking is more than entertainment; it has the power to change lives and shape the world. When given space, it becomes a force for impact. And that’s what we do.
At Slight Breeze Studios, we don’t just make films, we create experiences that last. We push boundaries, collaborate, and make room for artists to bring their most authentic visions to life. Stories have power, and the ones we choose to tell? They shape everything.
The Beginning
The internet and social platforms started as spaces for artists to express and share. But as consumption grew and audiences became hungry for instant entertainment, the landscape changed. The integrity of art, and its natural process, took a back seat to the high demand for content.
Our founder, Brianna, had spent years creating, but what once felt like storytelling started feeling like survival. So in 2022 she stepped off the hamster wheel of content and turned toward the medium she always believed in, film.
The Step Back Jumper
Stepping into film was supposed to be a return to story, to craft, to something more intentional. But it was met with resistance. It became a fight. A fight for authenticity. A fight to protect the work. The lack of real community was clear. It praised the product, not the process. It sold stories but rarely respected the storyteller.
As she moved deeper into the space, Brianna’s eyes opened to what the industry lacked, to how artists were overlooked, and how often their work was taken advantage of. After enough closed doors and compromised spaces, she stopped knocking and started building. A space where artists and filmmakers could own their vision. Where craft is respected. And where community comes first.
The Space
Today, Slight Breeze Studios exists as a production house in Brooklyn, NY. A studio rooted in intention, made for filmmakers and artists who care deeply about their craft.
We offer space, resources, and community for filmmakers and artists to tell stories that hold weight and produce work that moves audiences.
Here, quality beats speed. Integrity outlasts impressions. Community comes before industry.
Our Team
Brianna Thomas
CEO
Brianna Thomas is a writer, filmmaker, and the founder of both Slight Breeze Studios and Wellthlete. As the creator and writer of the web series Kinda, Sort Of and the short film One Day, Brianna has spent the past five years crafting emotionally honest, culturally grounded stories that connect on a human level.
Through Slight Breeze Studios, she’s building an in-house, self-funded production studio — one that champions emerging voices, centers original work, and produces films from script to screen. Backed by a growing team of respected creatives, the studio’s mission is rooted in process, ownership, and storytelling that feels personal but hits universally.
Whether through hands-on workshops, intimate writer’s rooms, or fully produced projects, Brianna is committed to making space for creatives to tell it right — and tell it their way.
Samantha Ratliff

Sam is a producer and assistant director with a love for organized chaos and creative problem-solving. With experience across feature films, short films, and commercials, she thrives on turning big ideas into grounded realities and getting meaningful stories in front of the audiences who need them most.
