“I built the Writers Room because I know what it’s like to have a dope idea and no roadmap. This space is about showing up for writers who are ready to tell real stories, sharpen their skills, and finally get that script off the ground with filmmakers who have the same hunger and passion.

Brianna Thomas - CEO & Founder of Slight Breeze Studios

Your Questions—Answered

  • This round is focused specifically on short film scripts (5–15 pages). That said, elements of the program—like character development and story structure—are useful across TV, theater, and other narrative formats.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • All sessions are held in person at Slight Breeze Studios, located at 141 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY (within the Brooklyn Navy Yard). Free parking and public transit access are available nearby.

Tuesday classes are held virtually via zoom.

  • Do you offer payment plans or discounts?

  • No prior screenwriting experience is required. Whether you're starting with a rough concept or an old idea you’ve never finished, this space is built to meet you where you are. We'll guide you through each phase, from story structure to script formatting.
